Interstate Removal

Once a divorce case is filed it is necessary to obtain permission from the other parent or from the court to permanently remove a child from Massachusetts. If such a removal is made without permission, it is necessary for the left-behind-parent to get court orders for the return of the child and should be done so as quickly as possible.
